Vault Staking

Vault staking gives you control over exactly how your assets are staked. Unlike simple staking, you can choose a specific Vault based on its node operators, MEV strategy, and fees. There are no minimum deposit requirements and no maximum limits except the Vault's capacity limit.

Each Vault is fully isolated: your rewards come solely from your chosen Vault's performance, and you're protected from slashing penalties incurred by validators in other Vaults. Each Vault page shows a detailed rewards chart you can review before you stake. You can stake and withdraw as easily as in simple staking.

How to Stake​

Pick a Vault that matches your preferences and start staking in just a few steps.

  1. Open app.stakewise.io and connect your wallet.
  2. Navigate to Vaults and browse the available options.
  3. Select a Vault and review its details, including MEV strategy, TVL, APY, performance, and staking fee.
  4. Click the (+) button next to Staked ETH, enter the amount of ETH you want to stake, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  5. (Optional) Click the (+) button next to Minted osETH to mint osETH and stay liquid while your ETH keeps earning.

Your stake starts earning rewards as soon as the Vault's validators are active.

If you mint osETH, your position gets a health score based on how much osETH you've minted relative to your staked ETH (the

Loan-to-Value ratio
). There are four health levels — healthy, moderate, risky, and unhealthy. If your position becomes unhealthy, it may be subject to redemption or liquidation. You can improve it anytime by burning osETH or adding more stake.

Position health depends on the APY of osETH relative to the Vault APY. The larger the gap (Vault APY < osETH APY), the worse the position health can get. If the Vault is running normally with close to the average APY across all Vaults, it's very unlikely that the position will drop below healthy.

Boost​

Once you've minted osETH, you can optionally Boost your position to amplify your staking yield. Boost uses your osETH as collateral on Aave to borrow ETH, which is then restaked automatically.

How to Unstake​

Unstaking from a Vault follows the same simple flow — just burn any minted osETH first, then withdraw your stake.

Before unstaking, make sure the amount of osETH you want to burn is in your wallet. If you have an active Boost position, switch to the Unboost tab and exit it first.

  1. If you've minted osETH, click the (–) button next to Minted osETH, enter the amount to burn (or click Max), and confirm the transaction.
  2. Click the (–) button next to Staked ETH, enter the amount you want to withdraw, and click Unstake.
  3. Your request enters the Vault's exit queue. Waiting time is at least 24 hours and depends on current network conditions ↗. Your assets keep earning rewards until the exit completes.
  4. Once your assets have exited, click Claim to receive your ETH.

You can add your email address to receive a notification as soon as your unstaked assets are ready to be claimed. Click your wallet address in the top-right corner, then click the alert button alert button icon next to your address. In the Configure alerts pop-up, enter your email and click Save.
